Thomasen Safety is based in Copenhagen and helps companies around the world towards a stronger safety performance. The advisory is a combination of leadership, development and implementation of tangible tools as well as techniques such as nudging.
Thomasen Safety was established by Jakob Thomasen in 2017 and has since then advised a number of clients for quick results with limited investment. Examples are Vejdirektoratet, Metroselskabet and Gentofte Municipality.
Thomasen Safety’s is primarily focused on the construction business but also works within a number of other industries where workplace safety is a concern such as energy, chemical and production.
26,000 accidents in the Danish construction business
Many organisations in industry, production and construction are struggling with too many accidents. Over the last 5 years, 26,000 persons in the Danish construction business lost a day or more at work because of an injury. Unfortunately, the accident level is stable without signs of improvement.
Most organisations have management systems and structures to help workplace safety and prevent accidents. However, such systems are often inefficient despite campaigns, training etc. because of the lack of a safety culture. Thomasen Safety’s mission is to improve all elements that drive a strong safety culture and thereby attain a safe workplace.
